Customizing WordPress!

Hi everyone,

It’s time to reveal some of our plans for 2021. Over on our editing side, our prices have inched up a little bit, but we’ve also added a new service that you can use if you have a website!

We’re doing Custom WordPress Themes.

Like our other services, it can be used for anything from basic mods for a theme that you already have up to a full WordPress theme. Unlike the others, it requires a separate Service Agreement and different FAQ questions, so be sure to keep an eye out for those.

New Game Plus.

Hi everyone,

As 2020 makes its way out the door, we’d like to tell you about some of our plans for 2021. Back when we were still finding our voice and experimenting with various things, we introduced a few gaming articles over on ericmrozek.com. We couldn’t do much more than that because of technical limitations, but now we can!

We are pleased to announce that we’re invading a new realm of entertainment with shows on Youtube and other video sites! As of right now, the most fully-formed one is about to enter production, and it’s all about video games!

We don’t have a title yet, but we can tell you that our primary focus will be on games that have a great story and are just plain fun. You’ll see humorous “Let’s Plays,” video essays, game-breaking glitches, and so much more!

We see this new effort as a natural extension of our work on ericmrozek.com, but you’ll be able to find and subscribe to it via the Shows section on this very site.

We’ll be sharing more information about this and all of our latest efforts in the lead-up to new year! We can’t wait!

Welcome Back!

Hi everyone,

After a month of development and quite a few headaches, the new site is now live.

We wanted to make various improvements to our digital space because of our upcoming projects and a desire for a more responsive, user-friendly design. In the past, we relied on a lot of text to get by because the design that we used was off-the-shelf. However, it wasn’t very responsive and required a little bit of guesswork to get right. Now, we have our own work, and it’s a lot better than it was before!

We’ve moved most of our site toward an image-based format that is fit for mobile devices. Most of the changes are self-explanatory, including the implementation of separate alert bars for each section of the site. However, I’d like to draw your attention to the bottom-left and bottom-right of your screen.

On the bottom-left, you’ll see our social media links. In the past, we only listed them on this blog because we didn’t know how to do much else. Now, you can click over to our pages whenever you want…

…but what if you want to shut them off?

That’s where the bottom-right comes in.

These three buttons will give you a bit more control over how you browse. On the top, you can shut off or turn on the media links at will. On the bottom, we’ve implemented a Back To Top button that’ll help you get around better. With that said, we’re particularly pleased with the “Sun and Moon” button in the middle because it allows our users to use Dark Mode.

And yes, there’s no flickering in between the pages. We want you to have to best experience possible as you stay on this site for hours on end.

More on that will be coming soon. For now, enjoy the new site!

As The World Reopens…

Hi everyone,

Back when we announced our COVID-19 price slash, we weren’t sure how to handle the reopening process because it seemed so far away. Today, we are pleased to announce that our prices will slowly inch back up instead of jumping all the way back up at once.

We’re not there yet, but we’ll let you know when that happens!

For those of you who have been linked here from an organization like the EFA, we’ve also added some improvements to our price match guarantee. If you get a quote from a member of the EFA or a similar organization, prove it, and we’ll match it as well.

Mind The Reconstruction.

Hi everyone,

We’d like to let you know that we’re in the process of a near-total revamp of our websites. While we’re in the early stages now, there will come a time when we’ll have to take our sites offline for a little while in order to institute the new design and all of the improvements.

We’ll let you know when that happens, but you should follow us via social media if you need to order our services or something like that.

Yeet All Evil!

Hi everyone,

In keeping with our ethics policy, we have to inform you of a malware-related event that happened today.

After 10 AM, we received word from our webhost that someone tried to shove two malware-laden files onto our site. As of about an hour ago, those files have been yeeted off of our webpage and replaced with extreme prejudice. We’re just waiting on our security provider to give the all clear.

There should be no danger to the public because we don’t store that much personal information on our sites outside of what is required for the comment sections, but it’s better to be honest than not.

We’ll confirm a resolution in this post and on our social media pages.

UPDATE (8/8/2020): The all clear has been given. Until next time!

What Takes Priority?

Hi everyone,

We’ve decided to correct some problems with our editing services. In the past, we had Rush Orders that allowed you to get some help in the face of a close deadline. As of today, we’ve decided to swap that out for Priority Orders.

If you want us to prioritize your work, you will jump to the front of the line in the order of receipt, even if we’re swarmed with normal orders. However, we will not adhere to hard deadlines because of the small possibility that technical errors might screw things up, so be sure to make allowances for that in your scheduling.

COVID-19 Editing Price Slash.

Hi everyone,

In response to the coronavirus pandemic that is currently sweeping the globe, we’ve decided to implement an editing price cut to make sure that people can still get some writing done during this crisis.

This cut will be aimed at our line, developmental, and All-In-One editing services, as they are most expensive of the bunch. It might be necessary to expand these cuts to other services, but that will be an option for the near future.

And of course, you’ll still be able to take advantage of all of our consumer-friendly policies, including our Price Match Guarantee.

Malware And Our Ethics Policy.

Hi everyone,

We’ve recently corrected an oversight in the company’s ethics policy, and it’s inspired by events that have occurred over the past year. Although we don’t store much (if any) information on either of our two sites, it’s important to keep you informed of what is going on so that you can trust us.

In April of 2019, we spoke with our hosting service and were informed of a potential malware issue on our sites. For some reason, this issue didn’t set off the security scanners or any computer virus scanners when we downloaded the files in question, but we fixed the problem after an investigation into the downtime that occurred.

However, we were alerted to a bot comment that was left on this blog just after Christmas. It was quickly deleted.

In either case, there should be no danger to the public because we don’t store much of anything, but we’ve rewritten our ethics policy to keep you informed of any potential problems at least once a year.
